It is Time for the Sun to Set

I started this blog back in September 2020 out of a point of frustration and a desire to find a new creative outlet. This became something that I didn't expect and it helped me grow in my creative journey. This blog became a place to air my grievances, to put thoughts out into the world, to write about something silly, to reflect on time, or a place to just be. The thing that this blog was not meant to be was a nuisance. What I realized is that this became something that has been hard for me to keep up with. I have been having a hard time finding time to write a post or even compose my thoughts correctly. When I do find time to write something I find that I am not able to give it the attention I need. This causes my work not to be the best it can be and causes it to not.

One day I woke up and decided that it was time to change the way I use this and how I write. I decided I am no longer going to write a post every other week or even on a set calendar. I am going to write when I see fit and that might mean not for a while. This became an interesting body of work and flipping through past posts I recognize that it helped me get through a lot. Nothing is supposed to last forever and this was never supposed to be a project that last a lifetime. All things do come to end and in a way that makes it all the more beautiful.

Things ending is always like a sun setting. It can be filled with vast gorgeous colors in the sky or it can also be set quietly behind a line of clouds. Each sunset is miraculous in its own way and it indicates that the day is over and that it is time to rest. When the sun rises next it signals a new day, a new story, or a new chapter of the same story. So, the sun is setting on the blog and when the sun rises next it will rise on a new project, new idea, or an iteration of an old idea or project. I enjoyed my moment in the sun with this project but, I am ready to rest and ready to see what will come next.

Thank you for coming on this journey with me and I hope you stick around for what is next!
