Thanksgiving was yesterday and in the spirit of the season, it is time for me to acknowledge everything I am grateful for. Every year around this time I begin to recollect what happened in the last calendar year, where I started and where I am now, and what I am grateful for. This year may have looked and felt drastically different than years past but actually, it is the same. I am still immensely grateful for many similar things and like always I am grateful for new things. It has been an emotionally fraught year which makes the act of gratefulness even more meaningful. Regardless, I am beyond grateful and thankful.
I am grateful to have my friends, family, and loved ones. I am grateful for the time I spent with them, for their health, for their support, and that they are a part of my life.
I am grateful for all the people I have met and what they taught me about living life.
I am grateful for the hope on the horizon for a better, safer tomorrow.
I am thankful for my health and safety.
I am thankful for being able to do what I love even if it has been immensely trying.
I am grateful for the laughs, tears, anger, sadness, frustration, and joy shared with myself and others.
I am grateful for everyone supporting my creative endeavors.
I am grateful and proud of all the work I have done to push my creativity and grow as a creator, artist, and human.
There is so much to be grateful and thankful for and I can't possibly fit it all on this page. I couldn't write everything in my heart because there aren't enough words to express how grateful I am. I made it to today and that is reason enough to be thankful.
I am grateful to be here and now, in this moment.
*A small moment of thanks and gratitude
